- 1 lightly salted herring;
- 1 medium onion;
- 50 g green onions;
- 4 eggs of chicken;
- 120 g of cheese with a fat content of 50%;
- 3-4 medium potatoes;
- 200 g mayonnaise;
- salt, black pepper to taste.
The method of cooking herring under a new coat
Let's prepare products for herring under a fur coat. We make a shallow incision along the herring ridge, remove the skin. Cut off the head and tail, cut the abdomen, get the insides, rinse the carcass with running cold water. Carefully cut the fillet from the ridge, remove the remaining bones, and cut the fillet into thin strips.
Peel the potatoes, cut into slices about a centimeter thick, boil in salt water until tender, cut into cubes. We divide the boiled eggs into proteins and yolks, rub the proteins on a coarse grater, yolks on a shallow one. We also rub the cheese on a grater, cut a finely green onion (only feathers), chop the onions with a vegetable cutter - very finely.
Pour about 1/3 of the onion into the herring, put a little mayonnaise on the onion.
Put the herring fillet on the onion, spread the pieces evenly over the entire plate.
Pour the remaining onion into the herring, you can add a little salt and pepper to taste. Lubricate the onion layer with mayonnaise - in puff salads, mayonnaise glues layers, especially crumbly ones like onions.
Next, put the chopped potatoes, you can grate it on a large vegetable grater. However, keep in mind that if a potato is of a waxy variety, then in a grated form in a herring under a fur coat a very dense and sticky layer can be obtained.
